Ellen Kennedy earned her BFA in acting at the University of Alberta, and has been acting professionally ever since. She has appeared in theatres across Canada, and has received a Jessie Richardson award for ensemble cast in the hit musical All Grown Up, which she also co-wrote. All Grown Up has taken Ellen to numerous theatres, including the Arts Club in Vancouver, the Belfry in Victoria, Magnus Theatre in Thunder Bay, as well as
theatres in Nanaimo, B.C., and Calgary. Other favorite roles include Lettie in Something’s Afoot (Persephone Theatre), Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense (Citadel Theatre/Stage West), Luciana in Comedy of Errors (Vancouver Shakespeare Festival), and Doto in A Phoenix Too Frequent (Back Alley Theatre). Ellen has also performed improv comedy for many years with the Vancouver TheatreSports League. Her film credits include roles in Airbud 4 & 5, and Mother Agnus in Chestnut, Hero of Central Park.
